I want to help you embrace your unique self
Insights and healing wait for you, inside your own unique body…
Learn more about Cea’s journey and philosophy.

Through deeply-integrated and high-quality guidance, you can get to the root of healing and thriving: embodying your authentic self.
Cea In Depth is born from a combination of my nature, passions, and the work I have devoted to for over a decade.
As a naturally curious and deeply-reflective person, I always have wanted to understand: WHY. I applied this ever-present question to the call to be of service to healing and liberation. My continuous curiosity led me in unexpected and unconventional directions.
Discovering how we truly heal and become free has led me down and into the body, where we cannot use our two eyes to see and instead must feel our way through.
Learning how individuals and the collective heal led me into work as a:
Licensed mental health therapist specializing in treating trauma, PTSD and Complex-PTSD, anxiety, and struggles with self-trust and self-worth
Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist specializing in CranioSacral Therapy and TriggerPoint Therapy
Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) specializing in yoga therapy, alignment and anatomy, yoga for trauma, and trauma-sensitive practices
Additionally, I have dived deep into somatics, movement culture, social work, and theatre arts. Please continue reading to learn more about my education and experience.
In my quest, I came to understand that “mind-body connection” implies the oppressive lie of disconnection. In fact, mind, body, emotions, and soul are one, which constantly reflect each other. Thus, our healing processes require being honored as one whole, complex, dynamic organism that is part of a greater whole.
Cea In Depth does just that. Feel for yourself…

Foundational Education and Experience
The depth and quality of my work and training distinguish me from other coaches and teachers
Master’s in Social Worker (MSW)
I graduated from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social with a Master’s in Social Work and worked as a licensed therapist for over five years. I have met with clients for individual therapy as well as leading therapy groups.
I have worked in private practice; inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment, and in hospitals treating trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, psychosis, and disconnection.
I also hold a B.A. from Davidson College, where I majored in Theatre and minored in Spanish.
Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist (LMBT)
I specialize in CranioSacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and TriggerPoint Therapy.
I continue my studies through the Upledger Institute, Chikly Institute, and Barral Institute.
I apprenticed for several years with Luvia Swanson, who learned directly from Dr. John Upledger
I also apprenticed for over a year in TriggerPoint Therapy with Cat Matlock of FreeBody Therapeutics.
Yoga & Movement
I am an RYT-500 — which means I am a “Registered Yoga Teacher” with 500 (or, in my case, well over 500) hours of certified training.
I studied at the Asheville Yoga Center (AYC) for my 200 and 300-hour trainings and have trained with Libby Hinsley, Joe Taft, Janelle Railey, and Martia Rachman. I also am a guest teacher in 300-hour trainings at AYC. My yoga teaching specializes in trauma and therapeutics.
Additionally, I have studied movement with the world’s leading teachers in movement, including Ido Portal, Roye Goldschmidt, and Jozef Fruçek of Fighting Monkey.

The root of all imbalance and dis-ease is a lack of embodying our truths.
This dissociation from authenticity can show up along the spectrum from micro to macro, including but not limited to: posture and movement, chronic pain, mental health, relationships, nutrition and diet, hormone cycles, and social policies.
I want to help you live soulfully, with clarity and confidence, grounding and vitality, and inner-peace.
I am here to help you heal your physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds.
As Rainer Maria Rilke wrote,
“I want to unfold, for where I am closed, I am false.”

Core Values
Curiosity
Every change process, as well as true connection, requires curiosity (not assumption), which weaves through our work via presence, playfulness, and questions that seek to understand and clarify. I remain curious about your truths, your experiences, and your hopes.
Authenticity
For you to be on a journey towards genuineness, I, too, must be honest and real with you. I show up as my true-human self in our sessions and my offerings through clear disclosure of any intentions, elimination of agendas, groundedness, and humour. I keep it real, as they say.
Integrity
I ensure a gravity-of-center by offering only high-quality services that I myself have deeply integrated, speaking from an embodied-sense of truth, and continuing my own education and furthering my competency. If any need of yours falls outside my scope of practice, I will do my best to connect you with a trusted practitioner or resource.
