Somatic Therapy

The body never lies — access your truths, understand the language of your body, and transform pains and traumas

A nervous-system honoring, body-based approach to therapeutics and self-understanding

  • We seamlessly blend techniques and approaches that unearth your truths in a way you can clearly hear, empowering you to incorporate these breakthroughs into your life.

Somatic Dialoguing weaves together body-centered verbal processing (speaking from the body, and not from cognitive, logical processing), including:

    • Heart-Centered Therapy, developed by Alaya Chickly of the Chikly Institute

    • SomatoEmotional Release

    • Somatic Attachment Therapy, which works with the deep layer of the Attachment System

    • Somatic IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Somatic Parts Work

    • Somatic Inner Child Work

    • Gestalt Therapy

  • Cea constantly and kindly tracks your nervous system to ensure that you feel safe, supported, and that all processing can be integrated. We work with your Window of Tolerance, as described in Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory, to access true transformation and embodiment.

To honor the needs of your nervous system, we incorporate breathing techniques, grounding practices, guided visualizations and meditations, and somatic postures and movements.

  • Therapeutic yoga practices — the art of tuning in to your unique system and needs, and (re)uniting yourself with the whole — are woven through Somatic Therapy sessions. Yoga practices include:

    • Yoga Nidra

    • Guided visualization and guided relaxation

    • Guided meditation

    • Breathing practices and breathwork (pranayama)

    • Restorative Yoga

    • Yoga for Trauma and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga

    • Yoga postures, shapes, and movement (asana)

Involving the nervous system and body in therapeutics enables you to integrate insights and safely explore the depths of body-psyche-soul
